REO Manheim Marketplace

Part innovative adaptive reuse and a lot of elbow grease and commitment the REO Manheim Marketplace at 15 North Main Street in Manheim pays tribute to past business uses on the site as it forges a future as a shopping, eating and community destination.

Inspired by the repurposing of a former 19th century cigar warehouse – now The Booking House, an reception, salon and cigar lounge, the REO Marketplace site was most recently Bickel’s Snack Foods. Beyond Bickel’s potato chips, pretzels, popcorn and corn chips another of the buildings on the 1.4-acre property was Manheim’s oldest hotels and taverns, the King of Prussia. The King of Prussia became the Eagle and Globe hotels, in due course, serving travelers during its time as a hotel and tavern stop over. The REO Marketplace honors the first car dealership to open its doors in 1907 in Manheim.

Visit Mill 72 Bake Shop and Café, Prussia Street Arcade and REO Suites. For those interested in becoming part of the energy and revitalization action at REO Marketplace, rental space is available.

From food and coffee to sweet treats and craft beverages look for vintage finds and handmade items in cool, hip, renovated spaces as REO Marketplace writes the next chapter of the property’s history.
