Conference on Affordable Care Act issues Monday

Joel Ario, former Pennsylvania Insurance Commissioner and President Barack Obama’s former administration adviser on health insurance exchanges, will be the main speaker at the event. He will be joined by Ron Pollack, the founding executive director of affordable health care advocacy organization Families USA, based inWashington,D.C., and Joanne Grossi, a regional director for the Department of Health & Human Services.
The conference theme is “Building a Bridge to 2014,” with a focus on implementing the Affordable Care Act. Seminars include health care and the state’s budget; the Supreme Court and what’s at stake; issues in establishing exchanges and Medicaid.
Held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Second Street, the conference will run from 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
