College HUNKS Hauling Junk and Moving continues its national expansion with a new location in Cumberland County, the first franchise for the company in central Pennsylvania.
College HUNKS (which stands for honest, uniformed, nice, knowledgeable, service) provides customers throughout North America with moving and junk removal services, donation pickups
and general labor assistance.
The grand opening of Carlisle College HUNKS, at 28 E. Main St., East Kingston, is Wednesday. It will serve customers in Carlisle, Camp Hill, Enola, Harrisburg, Hummelstown, Mechanicsburg,
Middlesex, Middletown, New Kingstown, New Cumberland, Plainfield and surrounding communities.
Franchise owners are Curt Wickard, a former commodity manager, and Keirsten Kassel, who worked as an optician.
“We researched several franchise options and fell in love with College Hunks,” Wickard said in a release. “Keirsten saw a website called Franchise Chatter, where we found College HUNKS and
noticed that they excelled in every category. … We were really drawn to the brands core values. They encompass everything we want in our own business.”
The Carlisle location is the sixth in Pennsylvania. Others are in Allentown, Bucks County, Levittown, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.
