Zoës Kitchen is opening a restaurant this week at the Shoppes at Belmont in Lancaster County, marking the chain’s first location in Central Pennsylvania.
The self-described “fast-casual restaurant” serves made-from-scratch Mediterranean dishes and will open Tuesday, March 13 at 11 a.m. It is the company’s 11th location in Pennsylvania.
The Manheim Township location is bringing 30 new jobs, said Zoës Kitchen spokeswoman Madeline Stone. The restaurant will be 2,800 square feet with 80 interior seats and 40 exterior seats.
New food will be served at the opening including baked falafel and family dinners with Moroccan citrus chicken, turmeric rice and baked ravioli.
“We’re excited to bring our first Zoës location to Lancaster,” said Stephen Wall, the company’s director of construction. “It’s a community where our prime customer is at. We know that the Lancaster community has been craving fresh, made-from-scratch Mediterranean food with the convenience of fast casual.”
To celebrate the opening, Zoës Kitchen will be giving away free sports cups and will offer free refills for one month.
Zoës Kitchen is headquartered in Plano, Texas. It was founded by Zoë and Marcus Cassimus in 1995 in Birmingham, Ala. It operates 249 restaurants in 20 states.
