Lower Paxton Township-based Centric Financial Corp., the holding company for Centric Bank, has received the ticker symbol it applied for in the winter to start publicly trading its shares.
The company was approved to trade on the OTC Pink Sheets exchange effective Tuesday and will trade its shares under the ticker symbol CFCX.
“Being quoted on the (OTC exchange) is a significant step in advancing Centric Bank to the next investor level by assisting shareholders and brokers in trading more efficiently,” Centric Bank President and CEO Patti Husic said. “This decision will also improve the market and liquidity of our company’s common stock.”
The company is identifying market makers — firms that will provide analyst coverage — of its stock.
The company is planning a common stock offering in June to raise capital for its organic growth. Centric announced this week it is opening a loan production office in Bucks County. That announcement followed an earlier capital raise that netted about $5.1 million against a $4 million goal.
Centric Bank has about $325 million in assets with four branches in Cumberland and Dauphin counties.
