The Harrisburg area has a new local voice on the American Bankers Association’s board of directors.
Patti Husic, president and CEO of Centric Financial Corp. and Centric Bank in Lower Paxton Township, was elected to a three-year term on the board Oct. 18, according to a news release.
The appointment is the most recent of several recognitions for Husic. A former chair of the Pennsylvania Bankers Association, she was named one of the 25 Most Powerful Women in Banking earlier this year.
“Patti is a respected and accomplished CEO who brings an impressive amount of experience to our board,” American Bankers Association President Rob Nichols said in the release. “ABA will benefit from her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to small business growth and expansion.”
Husic has also served as an advocate for women in leadership positions, both in the midstate and across the banking industry. In addition to ranking 17th on the 25 Most Powerful Women in Banking list, she was named Business Diversity Champion of the Year by the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC and Business Woman of the Year by the Business Women’s Forum of central Pennsylvania.
“For U.S. corporate boards, women have stalled at 19 percent representation, and I’m honored to serve and privileged to have this responsibility to open doors and advance women across industries to find their seats at the governance table,” Husic said in the release.
Centric Financial Corp. had $420.7 million in assets as of June and six offices across central and eastern Pennsylvania.
