Mid-Atlantic Realty Inc. finished buying three properties at
the corner in early December, said Libby Moose, the company’s vice president.
Moose would not disclose how much the properties cost.
An empty Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant, a closed T-Mobile
USA Inc. cell phone store and Lio’s Pizza & Subs will be cleared from the 2
acres to make room for the approximately 14,600-square-foot store. Moose said it
will cost between $4 million and $7 million to build the store. Lio’s will stay
open until construction starts. The construction period will last about six
months, she said.
Mid-Atlantic is a preferred Rite Aid developer, Moose said.
Rite Aid will lease the property from the company.
Mid-Atlantic developed another area Rite Aid at 7036 Wertzville Road
in Silver Spring Township,
Cumberland County,
and others throughout Delaware, Maryland and Virginia.
