As Chief Executive Officer, Golden is responsible for leading the overall organization. This includes developing the team and creating the vision and mission of the organization. He is very involved in working with the York Wall Executive Team on implementing the strategic plan.
Golden joined York Wallcoverings in early 2018. Previously he had held CEO and general management positions in other industries.
Golden is extremely proud how York Wallcovering’s leadership team navigated the COVID pandemic. “With employee safety as a top priority, we were able to control the spread of COVID in our facilities, while adapting our business to emerge from these challenging times even stronger than before,” he said
Golden said he’s learned over time to surround himself in the workplace with a diverse group of people. “Diversity eliminates blind spots and makes for a stronger organization. When I see a lack of disagreement in the organization, it always makes me nervous. It means we aren’t speaking our minds,” he said.
When he’s not working, Golden enjoys spending time with his family, as well as golfing, playing tennis, and boating. “I am an avid fly fisherman, but have found it harder and harder to fit that into my schedule,” he said.
