As president and CEO, Carson leads the AHF Products company’s mission. That mission is to improve the way people live, work, and experience their spaces by providing flooring products of all kinds including hardwood, vinyl, and laminate for both residential and commercial consumers and to do so by partnering with our distributor, retailer, and contractor channel partners to ensure that they grow their businesses profitably with our products.  This is what fuels AHF’s growth and profitability.

Carson said he’s had the opportunity to lead the immensely talented AHF Products team as it carved out of Armstrong Flooring in early 2019.

It’s really a team accomplishment that he is most proud of.  “The achievements of the AHF Products team during the last 18-months of the COVID-19 pandemic have been just stunning.  Our business was knocked off its feet just like everyone else was in early 2020, and we really weren’t sure just what the future would be, so we adapted and seized the opportunity to make our own future happen. We went out and expanded five of our plants including our Titusville plant, bought two companies, launched six new flooring brands and over 80 new collections. And we expanded beyond hardwood flooring to brand new categories like vinyl, laminate, and commercial flooring.  The team has been just phenomenal,” Carson said.

He said he is still learning; and that’s how it should be. “These past two years have been a reminder how precious time is….and the importance of time well spent. As I get older, time just seems to go faster, and you realize that you have more years behind you than ahead of you. During these last two years we lost time with the family, friends, and the ability to do many of the things in life that we enjoy. This was time we can never get back.  But I have tried to learn from that experience to make sure I am making each and every day in front of me more meaningful…to be in the present,” he said.

Carson is an avid history buff, particularly American History. “So, I am very fortunate to live and work in Pennsylvania with my wife Donna. Pennsylvania is so rich in history from our nation’s very beginning up to the present.  There are endless things to do, learn and experience about history right here in our own backyard….in Pennsylvania,” he said.
