Big changes appear to be in the works at Springwood Golf Club in York Township.
Bogey Macaws American Grille, a restaurant at the course, has been closed by Heritage Hospitality Management, which runs the clubhouse and the restaurant, according to its website.
Bogey Macaws’ last day at its old location was Sunday, according to its Facebook page.
The page gives the new address for Bogey Macaws as 2810 E. Prospect Road, which is the address for Heritage Hills Athletic Club. The club currently houses an exercise gym and turf fields used for soccer, field hockey and other sports. It is next door to Heritage Hills Golf Resort, a golf course and hotel complex.
Calls to Springwood and Bogey Macaws were not returned. A voicemail for the restaurant refers people to Heritage Hills for future reservations.
Heritage officials were not immediately available for comment.
Meanwhile, Keystone Custom Homes, which owns Springwood, has requested a special exception to change the course to a nine-hole executive course. Keystone is building homes on the property for a development called The Views at Bridgewater.
The York Township Zoning Hearing Board was scheduled to consider the request on Tuesday night, according to its agenda. But consideration was postponed until a March 27 meeting, according to the township.
In addition to changes at the golf course, there are plans in place for a White Rose Bar & Grill at Springwood, according to Keystone’s website for the new housing development. Keystone owner Jeff Rutt was not immediately available for comment.
Tom Sibol, the president and CEO of the White Rose in downtown York, declined to comment on the zoning matter. He also said a statement to the media would be issued once a lease is finalized at Springwood.
