Harrisburg-based BI Solutions Inc., an information technology consultancy, was recently awarded a $4.8 million contract to provide IT support to the Naval Supply Systems Command, or NAVSUP, in Hampden Township.
BI’s primary responsibility over the three-year contract is to help maintain and expand NAVSUP’s enterprise data warehouse, or EDW, said Jeff Martin, a company spokesman. “Our company is responsible for merging many disparate data sources into the EDW so that the Navy has a complete supply chain picture.”
That work will include creating dashboards, scorecards, detailed reporting and other ad-hoc analysis for the Navy, he said.
BI Solutions currently employs 12 people. But based on its growing government work, which includes five federal contracts, and planned expansion into non-federal customers, the company is likely to grow to 15 employees, Martin said.
The woman-owned business was founded in 2002.
