Adam Stewart will join midstate credit union PSECU’s leadership team in the newly created role of assistant vice president of sales and sales strategy, transitioning out of his marketing leadership role at another Harrisburg credit union, Belco Community Credit Union. Stewart’s appointment is effective, Sept. 8.

PSECU executives are looking to Stewart to grow membership and strengthen member loyalty with an “exceptional sales culture,” at the credit union, PSECU announced on Tuesday. Stewart will also be responsible to coach and develop a team that builds collaborative, cross-functional relationships with the goal of increasing sales and meeting organizational success metrics.

“The contributions Adam will make as part of our team will complement and strengthen our overall marketing strategy while allowing us to focus our efforts aimed at expanding PSECU’s high-quality products and services to an even larger membership group,” said PSECU Vice President of Marketing and Membership Development Barb Bowker.

As Belco’s vice president of marketing, a role he assumed in 2017, Stewart was tasked with developing and executing the credit union’s strategic marketing, business development and community relationship plans. Since joining Belco in 2009, Stewart served as vice president of sales and service, regional sales manager and branch manager.

“Having dedicated my entire career to the credit union movement, I am very familiar with the benefits that these not-for-profit financial institutions provide to their members each and every day,” Stewart said in a statement released by the credit union.

“I look forward to this new opportunity at PSECU – a credit union that I’ve long admired for its forward-thinking digital-first banking model and excellent reputation in the industry – and through this role, I hope to share the advantages of credit union banking with many potential PSECU members throughout Pennsylvania and beyond,” he said.
