Barley Snyder creates a crisis management team for business

Barley Snyder has put together a group of attorneys with expertise in crisis management to offer businesses one place to look to when tough situations arise.

The Lancaster-based law firm announced that more than a dozen of its attorneys will be part of its Crisis Management Service Team. The team will provide local and national businesses with help managing crisis situations such as governmental investigations or audits, terminations of executives, workplace investigations and public health emergencies.

The new team consists of attorneys throughout the firm’s 10 locations in Lancaster, York, Reading, Harrisburg, Malvern, Hanover, Gettysburg and Schuylkill Haven and Hunt Valley and Columbia, Maryland.

“The crisis management experience the attorneys in this group have amassed is extensive and impressive,” said Jennifer Craighead Carey, the chair of the new group. “Whether it be in government investigations, cybersecurity or any number of other common crisis scenarios, these attorneys have worked with businesses as a partner to navigate them through their tough times.”

The attorney’s in the team already offered crisis management work in their own practices, but the new group will allow businesses to find all of Barley Snyder’s crisis management services in one place, according to Craighead Carey.

“This is something our clients need our help with now, and whether there is a pandemic or not, this is something our clients know now they’ll always need,” said Jeff Lobach, an attorney on the team. “Sometimes a crisis is unavoidable, but if there are ways to prevent it, this team will help businesses find it.”
