Grassley is taking the place of David Wilson who left the bank in May.
With over 20 years of banking experience, Grassley most recently worked as director of administration and social media director for Customers Bank in Wyomissing.
Headquartered in Bird-in-Hand, the bank has an additional branch in Leacock Township and assets of $308 million.
It reported net income of $2.1 million for 2017.
Founded in 2013, Bank of Bird-in-Hand was the first bank to gain a charter in the U.S. after passage of the Dodd Frank Act in 2010.
