Armstrong Flooring Inc. has promoted Douglas A. Bingham to the position of senior vice president, CFO and treasurer.
The promotion was effective Jan. 4, according to a news release.
Bingham previously served as vice president of treasury and investor relations at the Lancaster-based company. In his new position, Bingham will have oversight of global finance, treasury, investor relations and accounting functions, and reports directly to Donald R. Maier, the company’s president and CEO.
Bingham succeeds Ronald D. Ford, who resigned from the company Jan. 4 to pursue other interests, according to the release. Ford had been CFO since September 2017.
“We welcome Doug to our executive leadership team as our new CFO. His financial acumen, industry knowledge and extensive company experience make him well qualified for the position and suited to deliver a seamless transition,” Maier said in the release, adding: “We thank Ron for his service to Armstrong Flooring and wish him the very best in his next role.”
Bingham, who joined the company in 2007, has served as Armstrong’s vice president of treasury and investor relations since its separation from Armstrong World Industries Inc. in April 2016. He also managed the company’s finance teams in China and Australia. Prior to the separation, he served as Armstrong World’s director of treasury and risk management since 2014 and as general manager of finance, building products Asia Pacific from 2001 to 2014.
Bingham has a bachelor’s degree in economics and biology from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
The changes are not the result of any matter relating to the company’s accounting practices or financial statements, according to the release.
Armstrong specializes in the design and manufacture of flooring solutions and operates eight manufacturing facilities globally.
