UPMC has added an orthopedic group to its organization, effective Nov. 1.
AO Orthopedic Surgery with Dr. Vincent Avallone, Jr., joined UPMC as Orthopedic Specialists of Central PA–UPMC, with offices in Lebanon and Lancaster.
“As part of the UPMC network, I can provide additional services through advanced technology, increased comprehensive care, access to health education programs, and other services,” said Avallone, who is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and has practiced independently in Lebanon and Lancaster since 1990.
He specializes in sports-related injuries, the diagnosis and treatment of arthritis and carpal tunnel issues, and joint replacements. Avallone performs surgeries at UPMC Lititz as well as surgical facilities in the Lebanon area.
“We’re pleased to welcome Dr. Avallone and his staff to UPMC,” said Philip Guarneschelli, president of UPMC in Central Pa. “He brings more than 30 years of orthopedic expertise to UPMC and is known for his positive patient experiences.”
Orthopedic Specialists of Central PA–UPMC has offices at 801 Orange St., Lebanon, and 1160 Manheim Pike, Lancaster.
