We encourage our team members to work and make decisions as if they own the firm.”
She said her father was a significant influence on her career decision. “As a young girl, I liked math and problem-solving. I started college at 17 and was not ready to make a life career decision at such a young age. My father selected my path, and it has been a fantastic and rewarding career for me. There were very few women in the industry when I started … but my father helped me learn to navigate in what was a man’s industry. Hopefully I have helped to pave the way for other women.”
Stephenson said family is the most important part of her life. “I am from a large Italian family and grew up with cousins and siblings as my best friends. I value the time with my family and make time to gather with them regularly to make new memories. I also enjoy sports, golf, biking and other outdoor activities. My husband and I have a passion to give back to our local communities — especially organizations that support the health, growth and well-being of our youth, women and families in need.”
