Andrew Samuel, CEO of LinkBank, said his leadership style is to adopt a humble and servant position of quiet leadership. “It’s not about exerting power or authority; it’s about serving the needs of our clients, employees and investors. I believe this style fosters a culture of collaboration and ultimately positively impacts everyone around me. I believe leading with quiet strength shows genuine care and motivates those around me to where they feel empowered, motivated to excel, and uplifted.”
When he was young, Samuel wanted to serve as a bank vice president. “My mother asked me, ‘What is your motivation?’ and I responded that my reason was a high salary, excellent benefits and that people would take me seriously. My mother gave me excellent guidance that day. She told me it would never work out for me if those were the reasons for the job. She encouraged me to focus on others. To this day, the mission of the bank is to positively impact others – every day and in every interaction.”
Samuel will celebrate his 40th wedding anniversary this year and is blessed with five daughters, four sons-in-law and 17 grandchildren. “Family plays an essential role in my life, providing love and support,” he said, “and the foundation of my professional success is based on their unwavering support and continued encouragement.”
