American Airlines will begin luxury motorcoach service Aug. 16 for travelers going between Lancaster Airport and Philadelphia International Airport, thanks to a partnership with transportation platform Landline.
The launch day schedule includes two trips from Lancaster to Philadelphia and two from Philadelphia to Lancaster. Travelers can book at AA.com.
In April, American Airlines and Landline announced their collaboration, which is Landline’s third with a major airline. Landline also reported that it raised $28 million to support its rapid expansion and platform innovation.
“Customers can begin their trip at a local Landline portal and check in for their flight, check bags and clear security before taking stress-free ground transportation directly to their gate,” a release said at the time. “Landline’s state-of-the-art vehicles are fully equipped with soft leather seats, free Wi-Fi, in-seat power and streaming entertainment.”
American Airlines’ Philadelphia service started June 3 for those traveling to or from Lehigh Valley International Airport and Atlantic City International Airport.
“Our partnership with Landline is one more way we’re making it easy for customers to connect to American’s premier trans-Atlantic gateway in Philadelphia,” Brian Znotins, American’s vice president of network planning, said in April. “From road to runway, we’re excited to welcome customers on board.”
