A fast-growing Cumberland County engineering firm has hired a well-known finance professional to serve as its CFO.
Upper Allen Township-based Advantage Engineers said Thursday that it has hired Tim Strickler, a former finance executive at The Bon-Ton Stores Inc.
Strickler, who has written columns on leadership topics for the Business Journal, has 25 years of experience in public accounting, consulting, manufacturing, retail, international operations and publicly traded companies.
He began his career at KPMG, one of the world’s largest CPA firms. He worked for Bon-Ton for about 15 years.
“We are very fortunate to have someone of Tim’s caliber and experience join the Advantage Engineers team,” said Ed Balsavage, the company’s CEO. “Tim’s unique leadership experience and passion for business strategy, quality and continuous improvement are a great fit for our company growth initiatives. I am truly excited to have Tim onboard.”
Advantage finished 2016 with nearly $29 million in revenue, up from about $25 million the previous year thanks to rising construction activity. The company specializes in geotechnical, environmental and telecommunications engineering and consulting services.
