Accounting firm rebrands for a cleaner look

Smith Elliot Kearns & Co. LLC has changed its name to SEK, a rebranding that it says will give the Adams County CPA firm a “bolder presence.”

The firm’s change to SEK isn’t a new idea, according to a press release from SEK stating that its clients and communities have come to know the firm by the acronym.

In addition to its headquarters in Conewago Township, SEK operates five additional offices: in Camp Hill, Carlisle, Chambersburg, York and Hagerstown, Maryland.

Along with the change in name, SEK has launched a new logo it plans to feature in new signage for its offices, stationary and a website upgrade.

In the release, the company said that a compass included in the logo is symbolic of the firm’s commitment to its clients. The compass, according to the firm, is SEK’s pledge to give its clients peace of mind.

“This rebrand represents a huge step in SEK’s evolution and is not something that we take lightly,” said managing member John R. Schnitzer, CPA. “We are still the same company with the same team, but with a fresh look.”
