Why did you go into this industry: “In 1985, my ex-husband started a company called Copytech. As a way to grow the company, we started a computer division. In 1989, we split the two into separate entities. Copytech became Imageware, and the computer division became Dataware. Today, they operate as sister companies in the same building.”
What is your biggest challenge, and how do you meet it? “The biggest challenge is differentiating ourselves from the competition. We do this basically by having personal relationships with our customers. We do not have canned solutions.”
Industry trends in Central PA: Companies are moving away from just providing hardware to providing value-added services such as network administration and database management.
Definition of a leader: “Someone who is forthright, able to make decisions and trustworthy.”
