Diane N. Hess, CLU CEBS
Executive Director, Central Penn Business Group on Health
As the Executive Director for the Business Group on Health, Diane’s role is to provide a forum and a voice for the business community on healthcare through collaboration among stakeholders. Named Interim Executive Director in November of 2015, and Executive Director in July of 2016, she is charged with fulfilling the organization’s mission to promote continuous improvement in the quality and cost of healthcare for member companies, their employees and dependents. This is accomplished through 3 core strategies: Collaboration & Partnerships, Education & Advocacy and Products & Services. Diane joined the Business Group on Health in March of 2014 as a Project Manager; hired to help develop a wellness program for small employers. Prior to her work for the Business Group on Health, Diane has served in a wide variety of roles in the employee benefits arena. She began her career as a carrier representative selling all forms of employee benefit programs. After moving to Central Pennsylvania, she spent 10 years working for an area insurance broker managing their employee benefits division, including TPA services for self-funded employers. After taking a 9 year break to raise her daughters, Diane re-entered the workforce in a sales capacity for a national wellness company working with large employers who were looking for solutions for their ever-increasing health care cost burden. To build on this foundation, she then accepted responsibility for the employee benefits practice for another area broker and a regional consulting firm. Diane graduated from Gettysburg College with a BA in Psychology. She attained her CLU designation in 1985 and her CEBS in 2007.
Compensation and Benefits Director, High Companies
Liz Ford is the Compensation and Benefits Director at the High® companies, a privately-owned company founded in 1931 with headquarters in Lancaster, PA. In her current role, she oversees the health management, benefits and compensation programs for over 2,000 employees in 25 locations across seven states. Through her previous experience in the human resources field, Liz has also been involved in employee relations, talent acquisition and development, HRIS and performance management, primarily in manufacturing industries. She received her B.A. from the University of Delaware, has her PHR certification and is a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS). She resides in Lancaster with her two teenage children. Senior Director, Transformation Services, Geneia
Patricia Ingerick is the Director of The Geneia Institute and has been instrumental in the launch and expansion of The Geneia Institute. Her expertise spans a variety of areas including Information Technology, Process Improvement and Design, Project Management, Education and Healthcare Transformation. Patricia holds an MBA degree from Lebanon Valley College, an MSHS degree with a major in Clinical Management and Leadership from George Washington University, and a certification in Lean Six Sigma from Villanova University. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Adult Education degree at Pennsylvania State University.
Prior to leading The Geneia Institute, Patricia served as Geneia’s Director of Clinical Process Improvement leading a multi-disciplinary team of project managers, process, systems and operational analysts. Her team supported clinical systems, process design and operational oversight for utilization, case and disease management as well as health education and wellness services.
Before joining Geneia, Patricia served in a variety of roles in information technology and in the healthcare industry. Patricia also designed curriculum in Healthcare Informatics for Saint Joseph University’s Master of Healthcare Administration program where she currently is a member of the adjunct faculty.
Chief Marketing Officer, Senior Vice President, Central Pennsylvania, Highmark, Inc.
Daniel Day is the chief marketing officer and senior vice president of the central Pennsylvania region for Highmark Inc. In this role, Day oversees the market and brand strategy of Highmark Health and Penn State Health’s partnership. Announced in 2017, the partnership includes plans for a collective investment of more than $1 billion toward the development of a high-value, community-based health care network designed to keep care local and enhance collaboration with community physicians.
Day joined Highmark as vice president of large group accounts for central and northeastern Pennsylvania regions before being appointed to senior vice president of central markets for Highmark Blue Shield. He has more than 25 years of experience in the health care industry, including positions with Aetna and Murray Securus Insurance, where he served as vice president of Health Benefits.
Day is a graduate of Ursinus College with a degree in economics and business administration and earned his Certified Employee Benefits Specialist certification through The Wharton School of Business and the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.
Roxanna L. Gapstur, PhD, RN
President and Chief Executive Officer, WellSpan Health
In January 2019, Roxanna Gapstur assumed the role of President and CEO of WellSpan Health. She has over 25 years of healthcare leadership experience working in group practice, academic, and integrated health care systems which included health plan operations. Prior to her appointment at WellSpan, Dr. Gapstur was a senior vice president and president within the HealthPartners system in Bloomington, Minn.
Dr. Gapstur has extensive experience in strategic planning, business development and operational leadership in both ambulatory and hospital settings. She has served in multiple executive roles including chief operating officer, chief nursing officer and as a senior executive accountable for population health.
Dr. Gapstur obtained her bachelor’s degree from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minn., and her master’s degree and doctorate from the University of Minnesota.
She was named a “Top 35 Women in Healthcare Leader” by Minnesota Women’s Health Leadership Trust in 2014. Dr. Gapstur has participated as a member and president of non-profit boards, including the Greater Twin Cities United Way, Minnesota Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation and the Minnesota Organization of Leaders in Nursing.

Terry Holtz is a Regional Vice President of Enterprise Accounts for United Concordia Dental. Located in Pittsburgh, Ms. Holtz began her career with United Concordia in 1996. She has 25 years of industry experience developing, maintaining and enhancing relationships with select large, regional and national brokers, consultants and key client personnel. In her current role, Terry is responsible for implementing strategies to increase account satisfaction that lead to account retention and growth of existing business. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh.
Aji M. Abraham, Esq.
Senior Vice President of Business and Network Development, and Chief Executive Officer of Dominion National
Aji Abraham is responsible for provider engagement, pharmacy services, ancillary services, and new business ventures. Additionally, Aji is CEO of Dominion National, a dental and vision benefits administrator within the Capital BlueCross family of companies. Aji previously served as Deputy Secretary for Administration at Pennsylvania’s Department of State, Director of Government Relations for the Pennsylvania Dental Association, and Dauphin County Deputy District Attorney.
Chief Strategy Officer, Employee Benefits, AIA, Alera Group
Kevin is a strategic thinker whose extensive health care experience delivers superior value to clients in AIA, Alera Group’s Employee Benefits division. His unique career blends the knowledge of health care delivery systems and provider groups with an in-depth knowledge of innovative solutions that create high-quality, affordable health benefits. He has been instrumental in developing AIA, Alera Group’s unique consulting and planning approach to health and benefit solutions, including the AIA GAMECHANGER© portfolio. As the Chief Strategy Officer, Kevin is responsible for the direction of the Employee Benefits division deliverables, leading new client development, and providing vital leadership on large client accounts.
Kevin is also co-founder of LeadHealth, a privately-held first of its kind telemedicine company delivering precision-medicine solutions to autoimmune patients for self-funded employers.
Prior to joining AIA, Alera Group in 2001 as a Senior Partner, Kevin spent 20+ years in executive-level positions at national health care delivery organizations in both the private and public sectors. Kevin received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The American University and a Master of Health Services Administration from the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University. Kevin holds a Pennsylvania Insurance Producer License for Life, Accident and Health and is certified by the Care Innovations Validation Institute on population health.
