Food bank boosts service as federal workers miss paychecks

The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank is offering extra services to furloughed federal employees while the government is closed, WITF reported on Monday.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture recently decided that it will distribute February food stamp benefits in late January rather than early February to ensure recipients still get the financial help they need while the government is closed.
