The Holiday Inn Harrisburg-Hershey hotel near Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course in Dauphin County has been sold for nearly $8 million.

Dauphin County deed records show an ownership change occurred on Dec. 10. The Holiday Inn property at 604 Station Road in East Hanover Township was sold for $7.95 million.

The buyer is listed as Harrisburg Hershey Hotel LLC, based in New Jersey. The seller was listed as MAM-Grantville Hotel Owner LLC, which was connected to Marathon Asset Management LP, a New York City-based investment manager.

Last month, Atlanta-based hotel operator Valor Hospitality Partners, which was managing the hotel, filed a notice with the state about 130 potential layoffs as its management deal ended.

The notice, filed Nov. 9 under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, or WARN, said the new owner would be leasing the hotel to an entity known as DreamStay Hotels LLC.
