Cumberland County engineering firm opens Texas office
Cumberland County bridge design firm Modjeski and Masters said Tuesday it has opened an office in Texas.
The office for the Silver Spring Township-based company is in Austin, the firm's first in Texas and its 12th nationwide.
"Texas leads the nation in population and economic growth, with no signs of slowing down," said Mike Britt, the firm's president and CEO. "There are tremendous opportunities here to connect residents and communities with efficient, innovative, and cost-effective engineering solutions."
Bridge engineer John Holt, who worked for the Texas Department of Transportation bridge division for 30 years before retiring, has been hired to lead the new office.
Modjeski and Masters has a second Pennsylvania office in Philadelphia. The company's other offices are in Colorado, Illinois, Louisiana, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Washington, D.C. and West Virginia.
Modjeski and Masters employs 192 people overall.
