IT firm buys Harrisburg office to boost local operations

An IT consulting firm based in Bucks County plans to hire 30 people next year to grow its presence in Harrisburg, where it also has purchased a new office building.
Acclaim Systems Inc. already has two offices in Harrisburg and has now acquired a third building, at 2949 N. Front St. in uptown Harrisburg. The company paid $285,000 for the 3,240-square-foot building, according to Dauphin County property records.
The company's existing offices are on State and Second streets in downtown Harrisburg and employ about 80 people.
"We were looking to be within two to three miles of our development center with ample parking," said Kailash Kalantri, president of the company.
The company provides customized software solutions for both small and large businesses. It also supports state governments, including Pennsylvania's.
Roy Brenner of Landmark Commercial Realty Inc. in East Pennsboro Township represented the buyer. Jason Sourbeer of Cushman & Wakefield represented the seller, Fraternal Order of Police.
Acclaim purchased the former operations center and branch office of Belco Community Credit Union in 2015 to grow its Harrisburg operations.
