Keystone Clearwater Solutions, a Derry Township subsidiary of New Jersey-based American Water Works Co. Inc., is looking to expand its workforce by about 40 percent to better meet demands for water-related services in the shale oil and gas industries.

The company is holding open interviews throughout the month of December in cities across the Appalachian Basin of Pennsylvania, hoping to fill about 125 new positions.

"Due to increased customer demands and expected growth into 2019, we currently have a variety of job opportunities available ranging from no industry experience to more experienced supervisory and management positions," said CEO Dan Dalton.

Keystone Clearwater has a little more than 300 employees. The firm provides water-related services to companies in Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia. Keystone's water-transfer services for shale gas companies include water sourcing, intake development, water storage and turnkey pipeline construction.

"Our goal is to have our expanded workforce in place by mid-January," Dalton said.

Keystone Clearwater was founded in 2009 and acquired by American Water in 2015. American Water also is the parent company of Pennsylvania American Water, which is moving its headquarters from Derry Township to Lower Allen Township in Cumberland County.
