A 240-unit luxury apartment complex is getting underway along South George Street in York Township.

West Manheim Township-based Burkentine Builders will break ground Monday on the new rental development, dubbed Wynfield. Slated to open next summer, the complex is located south of York off the Leaders Heights exit of Interstate 83.

Wynfield will be a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments that range in size from 850 square feet to 1,370 square feet. Rents range from $1,150 to $1,450 per month. Each building will have first-floor apartments and ADA-compliant units.

Apartments come with gas heat and stainless steel appliances. Tenants also will have access to an outdoor recreation area and clubhouse with a workout facility and garage space for rent.

Burkentine said it is targeting millennials and people nearing or at retirement age who want smaller maintenance-free living.

Cost of the construction was not immediately available. The complex will be managed by Burkentine Property Management Inc.

I reckon that a lot of the younger working crowds would be happy for a small apartment like that for their own. A lot of them are actually moving into smaller units and renting out storage units in Brisbane south for extra things because they would prefer the convenience of the facilities and the locations of their home in comparison to more living space. Doubt most of them are even at home nowadays anyway!

There really isn't any reason nowadays to reject the concept of living small. There is always the option of renting external storage spaces such as the garage services made readily available at this project. People are not afraid to downsize to live minimally since options are vastly available anytime.
