Authority seeks more input on Yorktowne Hotel project
The York County Industrial Development Authority is once again calling on the community for its input on the Yorktowne Hotel project.
The second meeting is focused on public spaces in the nearly century-old hotel.
"We want to hear more specifics – such as what the business community needs in their conference rooms, or what event planners need from the dining and ballroom space," said Jack Kay, chairman of the authority.
The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 28 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the White Rose Room at PeoplesBank. It follows an announcement that the downtown hotel is joining the Hilton hotel chain's Tapestry Collection.
"There is a deep interest in this project, and through all of it, our intention is to bring this gem back to the what the community needs," Kay said in a statement.
