Rock music festival coming to Lancaster this summer
Famous acts with '90s roots, like Fuel, Eve 6, Sister Hazel and Fastball, will be part of the lineup at the first Rock At The Park in July in Lancaster.
Clipper Magazine Stadium, home field of the Lancaster Barnstormers baseball team, will host the day-long festival on Saturday, July 21.
Other bands on the Rock At The Park lineup include the Long Beach Dub Allstars, which features former members of the band Sublime, Harrisburg-based The Jellybricks and Gentlemen East from Northeast Pennsylvania. More artists will be announced in the coming weeks, said Brandon Martin, director of productions for American Music Theatre, which is presenting festival.
The East Lampeter Township theatre's concert division has been planning the festival since fall 2017, Martin said during a press conference on Thursday to announce the event. He said that many of the performers have toured together in the past, so, based on that past relationship, booking them for the festival was easy.
Along with music during Rock At The Park, Clipper Magazine Stadium will host over 20 local craft breweries and wineries and various food vendors. Other activities during the family-friendly event will include mechanical bull riding, a dunk tank, inflatables, a carousel and more.
Early bird tickets, available at the cheapest price, go on sale Friday at noon. Advance ticket sales begin on April 23 at 9 a.m. Day-of tickets are available starting at 9 a.m. on July 21.
