Accounting

Hampden Township-based McKonly & Asbury named Dan Kern senior manager. He is a member of the audit and assurance segment and specializes in real estate and nonprofits. He is a CPA. Kady Faller, Kellye Leitholf, Lauren Lightner and Ben Paulding were named senior accountants. Faller is a member of the audit and assurance segment, serving health care and nonprofit clients and performing employee benefit plan audits. Leitholf is a member of the entrepreneurial services group and provides accounting, consulting and auditing services to small businesses and small family-owned businesses. Lightner is a member of the tax segment, serving nonprofits and affordable housing industry clients. Paulding is a member of the audit and assurance segment, focusing on construction, manufacturing, and nonprofits and performing employee benefit plan audits. He is also a certified financial planner.

Education

Lancaster Theological Seminary elected Kim R. Smith a trustee. She is an of counsel attorney with Lancaster-based Barley Snyder and a member of the education and employment practice groups.

Health care

York Township-based WellSpan Health named Dr. Ghassan Abuhamad a physician with WellSpan Vascular Surgery in York. He has a medical degree from the American University of Beirut. Dr. Louise Djeumo was named a physician with WellSpan Pediatric Medicine-South George Street in York and WellSpan Pediatric Medicine-Red Lion. She has a medical degree from Ross University. Dr. Samira Kannarkatt was named a physician with WellSpan Pediatric Medicine-South Queen Street in York and WellSpan Pediatric Medicine-Dover. She has a medical degree from Jefferson Medical College. Dr. Edward Kim was named a physician with WellSpan Interventional Pain Management in York. He has a medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Hafiz Muslim was named a physician with WellSpan Pediatric Medicine-Joppa Road in York and WellSpan Pediatric Medicine-Shrewsbury. He has a medical degree from Quaid-e-Azam Medical College in Pakistan. Dr. Paul Impellizzeri was named medical director of WellSpan Vascular Surgery in Lebanon. He has training in vascular diagnosis as well as surgical and nonsurgical treatments. He has a medical degree from State University of New York-Brooklyn.

Hospitality

East Hempfield Township-based Spooky Nook Sports named Jesenia Lepiz sales and events coordinator. She will assist the sales and events team in their daily tasks. She was employed with The Cork Factory Hotel.

Insurance

Lemoyne-based Gunn-Mowery LLC named Jonathan Mayer commercial account assistant. He will process policy documents and assist with bonds, claims and billing. He is a graduate of Bucknell University.

Law

Hanover-based Mooney & Associates LLC named James Welch an attorney. He will focus on commercial real estate, land use and zoning issues and work primarily from the York office. He was an attorney with the real estate group of Harrisburg-based McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC.

Susquehanna Township-based Mette, Evans & Woodside named attorney Brian Hinkle a shareholder. He focuses his practice on estate and trust planning, business succession planning, long-term care and special needs planning, and mergers and acquisitions. He is also an adjunct professor at Widener University Commonwealth Law School.
