Stephenson Equipment promotes COO to president
Swatara Township-based Stephenson Equipment Inc., a heavy-equipment dealer that specializes in construction and road service equipment, has named Bob Criste as its new president.
Criste, the company's COO, assumes the role of president from CEO Dennis Heller. Heller had been serving in both roles and will remain CEO.
The leadership change took effect the first week of February.
Prior to becoming COO in 2016, Criste was CFO at Stephenson, a job he held for more than 20 years.
Last year, Stephenson bought Butler County-based Walsh Equipment to grow its footprint and boost its market share. Walsh represented many of the same manufacturers as Stephenson, including JCB, LeeBoy, Rosco and Tiger.
To improve customer service, Stephenson also renovated several of its facilities across Pennsylvania and New York.
The company finished 2016 with $84.6 million in revenue. Revenue for 2017 was not immediately available.
