Off The Clock: Korch Orthodontics
Korch Orthodontics LLC, with offices in Hershey and Middletown, conducts an annual holiday toy drive for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Pennsylvania, collecting toys from patient families and team members in the weeks before the holiday. Orthodontic technicians Ashley Gerhart, left, and Krista Nolan delivered the toys to the Ronald McDonald House in Hershey to be given to the families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at Penn State Children's Hospital.
Ephrata-based Blue Ridge Communications is collecting Christmas stockings, holiday hats, candy, snacks, socks, cards and more for the Keystone Military Families' Stockings for Soldiers program, which wil ship the items to those serving in Afghanistan, Kuwait and Korea. Monetary contributions for shipping the care packages overseas are also accepted. This year's goal is 10,000 stuffed stockings. Donations will be accepted at Blue Ridge through November 16. Shown above are volunteers loading last year's collection of more than 8,600 pounds of donations. For a list of items and more details, visit Keystone Military Families on Facebook.
