Eric E. Rensel finds motivation from his career at Gannett Fleming, which allows him to use his imagination to deliver technically challenging projects. He thrives on the energy from his colleagues and appreciates working with people who have different points of view. In the next five years, he sees himself helping to lead the company in a positive direction that benefits the community. The best mistake he ever made was not doing well in high school. Rensel’s poor performance caused a teacher to tell him not to attend college or even dream about a great career. This may have given him the motivation to achieve the success he has today. The best thing he’s done in his life is marry his wife, Tina, and raise their two kids with her. His 40th birthday is the day after the CPBJ Forty Under 40 dinner, so there will be an extra cause for celebration!
