DJ Risk wanted to be a sports agent growing up, perhaps because of “Jerry Maguire.” But way back in ninth grade, he decided he wanted to work for his family construction business. This was the best mistake he ever made. He initially assumed it would be easier than it was, and he was in for a rude awakening. Risk quickly learned that it was much harder than he thought, that he would have to constantly challenge himself to improve as a leader and that it was a great responsibility, having people depend on him to take the company in the right direction. And if he hadn’t moved back to Lancaster to work for the family business, he never would’ve met his wife! His favorite things to do in his free time are traveling with his wife and volunteering as a junior high head coach for Solanco. In the next five years, he hopes to continue to grow Paul Risk Construction.
