Off The Clock: Geisinger Holy Spirit
Geisinger Holy Spirit hospital in East Pennsboro Township collected nearly 750 pairs of prescription eyeglasses, readers and sunglasses this fall in partnership with local Lions Clubs. The groups donated the collection boxes and members will sort and ship the eyewear to distribution facilities in New Jersey and Virginia before they are sent to countries where vision screening and eyeglasses are unavailable to the poor. Donations of eyeglasses will continue to be accepted in the hospital lobby. Shown above, from left, are Carl Winfield, Camp Hill Lions; Kathleen Fouse, Lower Paxton Township Lions; Kyle Snyder, chief administrative officer at Geisinger Holy Spirit; and Sister Mary Joseph Albright, director of mission integration at Geisinger Holy Spirit.
