Nikolaus & Hohenadel adds attorneys from Elizabethtown law firm
Lancaster County law firm Nikolaus & Hohenadel has finalized plans to join forces with Elizabethtown-based Gingrich Smith Klingensmith & Dolan.
The two firms plan to formalize the partnership effective Jan. 1, at which point Gingrich Smith's Elizabethtown office and four attorneys will operate under the Nikolaus & Hohenadel name.
The firms did not disclose the financial terms of the deal.
Nikolaus & Hohenadel currently has three offices - in Strasburg, Columbia and Lancaster - and 21 attorneys with a range of personal and business law specialties.
The Gingrich Smith addition lines up with Nikolaus & Hohenadel's goal of increasing its geographic coverage. The firm has clients in Lancaster, York, Lebanon, Cumberland and Dauphin counties, Nikolaus & Hohenadel partner Donald Nikolaus said in a news release Monday.
For Gingrich Smith, joining Nikolaus & Hohenadel offered an opportunity to expand the services available to clients, Gingrich Smith partner Kevin Dolan said in the release.
"The complexities of today’s laws demand a high level of expertise in many different areas of the law," Dolan said. "Because it continues to be a priority for us to meet the growing needs of our clients, it is important for our firm to strengthen and expand our areas of practice."
An earlier version of this story incorrectly described the nature of the deal between the two firms. The error has been corrected.
