UPMC Pinnacle opens primary care practice in CarlisleThe practice consolidates three medical offices that were close together
Three Carlisle-area medical practices are becoming one and reopening Nov. 28 as Alexander Spring FamilyCare, according to UPMC Pinnacle.
Carlisle Internal Medicine, Bent Creek Family Medicine and Alexander Spring Family Medicine have combined operations into a single location, a UPMC press release said.
All three offices were located in South Middleton Township, and are coming together in the office of Bent Creek Family Medicine at 1533 Commerce Drive, Suite 2.
"These offices were located so close to each other, two within a half mile, and have worked cooperatively together," Robert Nielsen, president of PinnacleHealth Medical Group, said in the release.
"Our expanded care team includes internal medicine and family medicine physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners," Nielsen said.
Drs. Laurel Bailey, David Dell, Lindsay Michael and Gerri Steele make up the team of doctors at Alexander Spring FamilyCare. Two certified registered nurse practitioners, Julie Morgan and Julie LaRue, will be new additions to the care team.
The practice hopes to add endocrinology services in January, Nielsen said.
Alexander Spring FamilyCare is near two other UPMC Pinnacle primary care providers in the Carlisle area, FamilyCare Spring Road and Boiling Springs Family Medicine, the press release said.
In July, UPMC Pinnacle, a nonprofit, acquired the Carlisle Regional Medical Center from for-profit Tennessee-based Community Health Systems Inc. (CHS).
UPMC Pinnacle could not be immediately reached for comment on Monday.
