Off The Clock: Amazon
Amazon honored the military veterans in its Carlisle-area workforce with an event at the company's South Middletown Township fulfillment center. More than 100 vets work at the center, including general manager Scott Cochran. On behalf of Amazon, Cochran presented a $10,000 donation to the Doylestown-based Travis Manion Foundation, which empowers veterans and the families of fallen heroes to develop character in future generations. Shown are Rob Bender, director of advancement for the Travis Manion Foundation, at left, and Scott Cochran, with cadets from the Cedar Cliff High School Army JROTC program.
Univest Corporation awarded $62,500 to 12 educational organizations in Lancaster County through the state's Educational Improvement Tax Credit program to support education and scholarships for students in kindergarten through 12 grade.
