The High Center at Elizabethtown College has added a new leader to its ranks.

Lancaster County resident Tad Renner has been named managing director of the college-based nonprofit center, which guides family business leaders on best practices, business strategies and other topics.

Renner started in the position on Monday. He will report to Michael Mitchell, who remains executive director of the center.

Renner and his family grew Laser Plus, a toner manufacturing company, into a full-service print management firm with customers in 24 states. After 20 years in business, the family sold the company in April 2016.

In 2012, the Renners founded The Digital Workshop, a computer software training division of Laser Plus. The Digital Workshop continues to operate as a standalone entity.

Prior to the family business, Renner worked in marketing, as a development officer and as a retail stockbroker.

The High Center was founded in 1995.
