Student housing complex at Shippensburg University sold for $1.7M

A California-based investor has paid $1.7 million to buy a student housing complex near Shippensburg University.

Matthew Wolf and Mike Bowser of High Associates Ltd. represented the buyer and the seller in the deal for Britton Court, a 24-unit housing complex at 20 Britton Court in Shippensburg Township. The deal closed on Oct. 25.

The buyer is Britton Court LLC. A local investor, Shiprentals LLC of Shippensburg, sold the property, which is a block from the university campus.

Britton Court, which has two buildings, opened in 1997. Each rental unit has three bedrooms.

According to the latest reviews and press releases, Shippensburg University has been given only 62% of positive feedback from the students. Because of the decreasing number of studying opportunities and entertainment, students have been struggling to support their rights lately.
