A veteran of the consumer packaged goods industry for 30-plus years is the new president and COO of Hanover-based Utz Quality Foods LLC.
Utz also named two new executive vice presidents, the company said Monday.
New president and COO Tom Flocco comes to Utz after a career that includes nine years with Fortune Brands, six of them as president and CEO of spirits company Beam Suntory, and eight years as a partner in the consumer practice at McKinsey & Co.
At Utz, he will focus on executing the company’s strategy and managing day-to-day operations, company officials said.
In addition to Flocco, Mark Schreiber is joining Utz as executive vice president and chief customer officer. Jay Thompson, a former executive at Lancaster County-based Armstrong Flooring Inc., has been named Utz’s executive vice president and CFO.
Schreiber brings over 30 years of consumer packaged goods experience, having spent the last nine-plus years leading Pepperidge Farms’ sales efforts as senior vice president of sales and distribution.
Thompson has worked at Pepsico and Chobani, but was most recently CFO at Armstrong Flooring. At Utz, Thompson will lead all aspects of finance and accounting, the company said in a news release.
The three join two current members of the Utz executive team: Tucker Lawrence, executive vice president and chief production and planning officer; and Todd Staub, executive vice president and chief administration officer.
Utz has 3,000 full-time local employees and 150 part-time local employees, and listed $742 million in local revenue in 2016 and $621 million in 2015, according to information it supplied to the Business Journal.
