Due to the pending loss of a logistics services contract, global engineering firm AECOM is planning to lay off more than 100 employees in Cumberland County.

The employees work at a facility in Silver Spring Township used by Geodis, a French logistics and supply chain provider.

Los Angeles-based AECOM said its contract with Geodis is ending and 108 AECOM workers will be let go on or around Jan. 31, 2018, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification, or WARN, Act notice filed with the state.

Company officials were not immediately available for comment.

The warehouse at 180 Kost Road is more than 254,000 square feet.
