Hanover surveying firm merges with Maryland company, expands
A Hanover civil/site engineering firm has merged with a Maryland company, scooping up four employees and a new office in Westminster, Md.
Hanover Land Services Inc. completed the merger with Professional Surveys LLC on July 1, officials with the York County company said.
Hanover Land Services will continue to provide surveying civil/site engineering work from both Hanover and its new office on Main Street in Westminster, which is where Professional Surveys was based. Hanover Land already had a small bookkeeping office in Westminster.
The merger increases the staff at Hanover Land from 17 to 21, its officials said.
The newcomers include Keith Heindel, former owner of Professional Surveys. He is joining Kristin Barmoy, Hanover’s president, as an owner of Hanover Land Services.
Heindel also will serve as vice president and director of surveys for Hanover Land Services, the company said.
Hanover Land Services was founded in 2000 when Kristin and Doug Barmoy bought Worley Surveying, which was founded in 1969 by Don Worley of Hanover. The firm serves both private-sector and government clients.
