WellSpan Health announces new VP for philanthropy, development
WellSpan Health has a new leader in charge of its overall foundation and fundraising programs.
Jason Trout has been named vice president of philanthropy and chief development officer, York-based WellSpan announced Wednesday.
Trout previously served as WellSpan’s regional chief development officer for Lancaster and Lebanon counties.
As vice president of philanthropy and chief development officer, Trout now leads the development efforts of WellSpan's community-based foundations and development offices: Ephrata Community Health Foundation, Gettysburg Hospital Foundation, Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation, WellSpan York Health Foundation and the WellSpan Philhaven development offices.
"Jason’s experience and leadership in philanthropy and team development will ensure strong donor stewardship and a continued focus on local philanthropy," said Maria Royce, WellSpan's senior vice president for strategy and market development and chief strategy officer.
Trout has 25 years of senior leadership experience in the health care field. He previously served as vice president of development and community affairs at Good Samaritan Hospital, prior to its affiliation with WellSpan in July 2015.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from York College.
