Cumberland orthopedic provider names new CEO
The Orthopedic Institute of Pennsylvania will begin operating under new leadership this spring.
William C. Thompson II is slated to replace Dr. Jack Frankeny as CEO in April, the Camp Hill-based orthopedic provider said.
Frankeny is retiring after serving six years as CEO and nearly 17 years COO.
Thompson comes to Pennsylvania from Arizona, where he most recently served as director of Hedley Orthopedic Institute in Phoenix. Before that, he was the director of operations at the Cardinal Orthopedic Institute in Columbus, Ohio.
Thompson has a bachelor’s degree in political science and an MBA from Ohio State University.
He also has significant experience as a high-level administrator in the acute care hospital setting and in urgent care, a news release said.
The Orthopedic Institute has 14 locations in Pennsylvania, including in Cumberland and Dauphin counties, It employs about 300 people.
