New chairman to head York City Redevelopment Authority
The York City Redevelopment Authority elected 16-year board member Michael Black as its chairman, the authority said Thursday.
Black is chief sales officer at Doceo Office Solutions' office in York and has served as vice chair of the authority for the past six years.
"It's an exciting time for the City Redevelopment Authority, and I look forward to Mike's leadership as our chairman," York Mayor Kim Bracey said in the authority's news release. "His years of experience and level of commitment are highly valued."
The authority, funded by state and federal grants, acquires blighted properties within the city and redevelops them for housing or businesses that promote economic development.
Construction industry veteran David Cross served as the group's chairman until leaving the authority in late 2016.
