Boyer & Ritter absorbs Mechanicsburg firm
The employees of Waggoner, Frutiger & Daub are joining Boyer & Ritter LLC.
The two Cumberland County accounting firms merged effective Jan. 1. All 14 members of Waggoner, Frutiger & Daub's accounting and support staff, including managing partner Ray Brown, are now operating under the Boyer & Ritter name out of its Camp Hill-area office.
“We chose to merge into Boyer & Ritter because of the remarkable similarities between our firms and because we believe that a larger organization will allow us to provide a wider array of services and more depth,’’ Brown said in a news release. “Becoming part of Boyer & Ritter will also mean our associates will benefit from even more and stronger career opportunities.’’
Both firms focus on tax and management consulting for closely-held businesses.
Because of the merger, Boyer & Ritter will now be able to dedicate additional resources to small businesses, nonprofits and governments, and in the area of employee benefit plan audits, according to the release.
“The decision to merge Waggoner Frutiger & Daub into the Boyer & Ritter family was done only after long and careful consideration on both sides,’’ Boyer & Ritter CEO Robert Murphy said in the release. “We believe this merger is a win-win for our clients as well as the professionals from both firms who are coming together to make a truly outstanding team.’’
Boyer & Ritter has offices near Camp Hill, Carlisle, Chambersburg and State College. Waggoner, Frutiger & Daub was based near Mechanicsburg.
