From a very young age, Audrey J. Hoffman knew she wanted to become a veterinarian. Hoffman grew up on a dairy farm, where she learned respect for animals and enjoyed the opportunity to help the veterinarian during house calls.

Working on the family dairy farm was Hoffman’s first paying job, where she learned the importance of a strong work ethic. The farm also inspired and confirmed her love of working with animals. If given a one-year sabbatical, she would travel with World Vets, a free veterinary surgical and medical service organization serving underdeveloped nations.

Hoffman describes herself as hard-working and remains motivated by her happy and healthy pet patients. Finding herself happy with her life at home and at work is what Hoffman considers her biggest success. In five years, she intends to continue to manage the health of her client’s pets at Animal Health Care Center of Hershey.
